About Roy & Linda

In 1993, we exchanged vows, promising to be faithful "till death do us part." But, in the early years of our marriage, we went through some trials that threatened to destroy our marriage. We pushed through and those trials led us to a relationship with Jesus Christ. Things improved but we still encountered difficulties in the years that followed. But through the grace of God, hard work on our part, and an encounter with a stream (CLICK HERE to read our blog post with the story of that stream), we pushed through, and we now find ourselves in the best season of our marriage. 

Roy is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, and Linda is a retired attorney. We are both XO-Certified Marriage Mediators, AACC-trained* life coaches with an emphasis on marriage coaching, certified facilitators for both the SYMBIS and Prepare-Enrich assessments, certified marriage mentors, and trained Gottman Leaders for The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work workshop. We are also members of AACC* and ICCA**. At Evangel Church, where Roy currently serves in a voluntary role as Marriage Pastor, we created a Marriage Mentoring Ministry, where mentor couples work with both engaged and married couples. Over the past three-plus years, we have spent numerous hours coming alongside engaged and married couples to help them grow into the Christ-centered, Spirit-led marriages that He desires for them. 

God has placed in our hearts a passion for marriages and has called us to share the truth that, with Christ at the center of our marriage, we can weather any storm. In late 2023, God called us to focus solely on marriage ministry, to become “missionaries to marriage,” and so Marriage Takes Three was born.
